The world over, regardless of where you live students at every level in their educational career have the same aspirations and dreams, whether it is to do well in their next assignment, to pass their next exam or working towards their dream career.  Make an impact in the life of another student and through your support and the support of your School, College or University you can make a significant difference and contribute to the great work of the Dr Henry Langazye Kaluba Educational Trust in advancing the quality of education and training in Zambia.       

 

There are several things that your School, College or University can do to help with the work of the DHLK Educational Trust.

 

Fundraising

 

Your School, College or University can fundraise by participating in various events:

 

• University RAG events.

• Sponsored Mufti day.  

• Organise a sale, bring and buy, cake, brick a brack etc.

• Guess who, what or how many competition, whether its guess the baby picture, guess how many sweets, guess the name of the teddy bear etc.

• Collect coins challenge, give each of your students an empty Smarties tube or jar and challenge them to fill the container with as many 20p or £1 coins as possible, see how much you can raise as a school.

• Organise a sports event.

• Organise a musical event, choir, piano recital etc.

• Organise a themed party.

Spread the word

 

We are great believers in advocating about the work that we do.  You can support us and our work by advocating for us, tell everyone who’ll listen, tell your school friends, college friends or university friends about the great work that we do.  You may choose to give a talk to your friends in a club that you belong to e.g. girl guides, scouts etc. and if you need more information or resources then contact us here.   

 

Linking

 

You could support us by having your School, College or University link with one of our projects, you may choose to sponsor one of our projects, give gifts in kind or help in some other sense.  If you would like more information about linking you can click here to ask for more information.

 

School knowledge transfer

 

One way that you could support us in the great work that we do is to get your students involved by facilitating their learning so that they gain knowledge and awareness about a different country and culture.  We can help you with this by providing you with advice on lesson planning as well as providing you with teaching resources.  Click here if you would like more information.

 

Duke of Edinburgh
